Dismal display by Callow End side

PEROWNE PARK RANGERS 5, CALLOW END 1

CALLOW End's Jeckyl and Hyde season continued with a dismal display away at Pitchcroft to a young and determined Perowne team.

Perowne got two goals ahead and grew in confidence. Perowne's first three goals were all gifts as Callow End failed to defend set pieces and were punished severely.

Adam Spencer pulled a goal back for Callow End but Perowne made it 4-1 within a minute with a 20-yard curler round Dave Gray in goal.

To add insult to injury, Adam Morse was dismissed for allegedly serious offences and now possibly faces a lengthy ban.

The final goal was a looping shot which deflected over Dave Gray giving him no chance.

Sean Castle was man-of-the-match.

Callow End must improve all round if they are to progress into the last eight of the Worcester Hospital Junior Cup on Sunday, when they visit Stourport.

Training continues at Worcester University on Wednesday evenings 7-8pm on the astro turf. New players welcome to attend. Call Callow End FC on 07810 000474.
