ACTION could be taken to repair a road in Stoke Heath. At Stoke Parish Council's annual meeting, Councillor George Verney said he had been contacted by a woman over poor road services, particularly Avon Close, which is in a very bad state of repair. Cllr Verney added: "This woman realises the parish council is not directly responsible for the roads, but I have been down there and looked at it and something needs to be done." The parish council clerk suggested that Cllr Verney should contact county councillor Glenys Blackmoor, as she was doing a tour of roads in the area, to see what work needed doing.  more...
