Talk on ancient finds

RECENT archaeological excavations in Alcester will be discussed during a talk at the Greig Hall.

Anna Stocks, Warwickshire County Council's warwickshire museum planning archaeologist, will be giving an illustrated talk on Recent Archaeological Fieldwork in Warwickshire at 8pm tonight, hosted by the Alcester and District Local History Society.

Finds have been uncovered dating from the Roman, Anglo-Saxon, and Medieval periods and further information on archaeological sites in Warwickshire can be found on Warwickshire Museum's Take the Timetrail website at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/timetrail The website has nearly 10,000 records on sites dating from 500,000 years ago right up to the present day.
